is what we know. u.s. marshals came to make an arrest monday night. they had some sort of altercation with the suspect who lives here. he has now barricaded himself inside an apartment here. we're told he is armed but there are no hostages taken. that he has taken in that building. no one else in that building either because it's been evacuated. prince george's county swat team is now negotiating with him. sources on the scene telling us the suspect may have been involved in recent carjackings and that's why he was being arrested this entire area will be blocked off, things here shut down until they can resolve the situation. we do have dozens of riss dents out here in the parking lot waiting to be let back inside. melissa mollet, news 4. >>> thank you, melissa. police are releasing few details after they found a man inside a building. 200 i street yesterday afternoon. homicide crews were also called to the scene. police are not saying how the man died or if there are suspects. >>> police in prince william county are looking for a man who sexually assaulted a girl inside her home posi

of how we keep guns out of places that they are not allowed to be in this country, the u.s. congress in 1988 passed something called the undetectable firearms act. it said basically, your gun has to be detectable in an x-ray scanner. it has to have the equivalent x-ray signature of 3.7 ounces of stainless steel, even if you take out the magazine and the stock and the grips. even with those parts taken off, the remaining guts of the gun need to have a substantial metal component. so they will be seen on an x-ray machine. because of that law, we do not have fully plastic guns. that law was first passed in 1988. it was not particularly controversial. the vote in the house on that was 413 to 4. and president ronald reagan signed it. and tyranny was not unleashed upon the land. it is not controversial now that it is illegal to manufacture or sell a gun in the united states that is built to evade detection by standard means. we don't have plastic guns. we banned plastic guns. the ban has been renewed several times since. it is up for renewal again next year. when it comes up for renewal ne

. that is not high speed the way it is calculated. average miles per hour. the minimum actually under u.s. -- of we have a standard -- 110. almost every high speed train in the world is running today at 130 some, 50 miles per hour average and we are in the dark ages as far as -- you will probably hear from ms. maloney and a few minutes, a segment from new york to boston is around 68 miles per hour average. pitiful. i started to talk about the horrible history highlights of amtrak's attempts to get into high speed rail. they did acquire train some years ago, the acquisition was a total disaster. there were extended expensive lawsuits that went on and on, they required a european design, and european fleet model that was allowed to tilt because you could get faster speed and curves and other things that could enhance the speed. unfortunately amtrak and the way it handled first the acquisition and then the redesign of the equipment, redesigned the vehicles so they were wider and they miscalculated because when the train got a higher speed and tilted the wider trains would hit. to compensate, they had

in is giving help to our economy, and that requires printing of u.s. dollars and lots of them as the fed has been doing. i thhnk one of the small reasons why you're paying more for gas today than you did last year at this time is basically because our dollar is buying us slightly less now than it did then. however, there is another side of this and we have a technical p picture that absolutely shows us that gasoline is in a downward parallel channel and certainly would go lower as time passes and we're now looking at the 200-day moving average for the crude oil market which is getting below that. melissa: it is moving down, no question. >> absolutely. melissa: i have one reason for that. i was looking at stats, consumption is expected to be 8.73 million barrels a day. that is the lowest level since 2001. why do you think our gasoline consumption is so low right now? >> you know, there is a lot of conservationism going on. there are a lot of cars now that are not using nearly as much gas as they used to. melissa: no, that is not it. come on. >> there is lot of things that come together here.
